Both platforms are well established in UK university archives. AtoM leads with standards-native ISAD(G) description and a strong public catalogue; ArchivesSpace offers richer accessions and location management. We help you choose and manage either.
IIIF for Digitised Collections

eScriptorium for HTR
If your special collections include significant manuscript holdings, eScriptorium provides Handwritten Text Recognition at no per-page cost. Train models on your specific scripts and transcribe at scale — from medieval manuscripts to 20th-century correspondence.
Discovery Integration
EAD 2002 and EAD 3 export from both AtoM and ArchivesSpace. Full REST API access for integration with VuFind, Blacklight, Primo, and other discovery layers. OAI-PMH harvest support for national aggregators including TNA Discovery, Jisc Library Hub Discover, and Archives Hub.
Research Support
Recogito for semantic annotation of texts and images. Linked data export. IIIF annotation tools including Mirador annotation plugin and SAS. Designed to support AHRC-funded digital humanities projects alongside core catalogue management.
